A tag will be riveted on the passenger side of the cart. The tag will have the serial and model number. The model number will contain two numbers that eqaul the year of the cart. An example would be: 29834 this is a 1998 cart.
Club Car
Club car puts the year of the cart in the serial number. If you look under the ball holder on the dash you will see a serial number tag. A number like AG00345-37879 is on a sticker. This cart was made in 2000. also, from 1981 to 1999.5 the roof uprights were aluminum with two seat backs. In 1999.5 the went to a steel black roof support and a single seat back assembly. Yamaha
Yamaha uses the serial number to identify the year of the cart. Please email your serial number to techsupport@mainegolfcart.com and we will respond with the year. Check back soon for a complete chart of years and models. If your cart looks like this one it is 1995 or newer. Thank you
